Calling All Bakers!

It's hard to believe, but the holiday baking season is upon us!  And just in time, Cordially Invited is excited to offer a new cookbook called Sugar, Sugar: Every Recipe Has A Story:

This is no ordinary dessert cookbook - it's over three hundred pages full of recipes for cakes, pies, cookies, and candy that each offer a piece of history from those who created them.  They're treasured family recipes compiled from across the country, preserved from butter-smudged recipe cards and cookbooks, with bits of entertaining narratives throughout the entire book.

Not only is this a fabulous book that you'll reach for not just during the holidays but all year-round, but you're invited to join us for a book signing by the Sugar Mommas themselves - Sugar, Sugar's authors Kimberly Reiner and Jenna Sanz-Agero!  They'll be at the shop to meet you and sign copies of the book this Saturday, November 19th, from 2:00-4:00.

You must purchase the book at Cordially Invited to have it signed.  Call or stop by to reserve your copy today! But if you happened to pick it up elsewhere and want to get it signed - we wont turn you away..stop in!!

Sweet Summer Soiree on Saturday!

Just a reminder - today's the last day to save $2 on your spot at our special caramel & wine pairings event! Early RSVP'ers pay just $8 to join the party in the shop this Saturday from 6:00 till 9:00. You'll savor three delicious pairings of Le Bon Garcon's artisan handcrafted caramels along with European wines carefully selected by Chef Justin Chao.

You can call the shop (323.931.0200) to reserve your spot, stop in, or drop us an e-mail to let us know you're coming. Bring your friends and enjoy the sweets while you shop from our fun selection of cards, books, and gifts! Of course, if you don't get a chance to RSVP today, you can still join the fun for $10 at the door.

Sidewalk Sale Saturday!

Cordially Invited's first sidewalk sale is nextweekend July 16th !

We love our customers at Cordially Invited, and when we find great local products, we want to share them with you! Mark your calendar for an upcoming event we're hosting in the shop on Saturday, July 16th showcasing Justin Chao of Le Bon Garcon!

Justin is a classically trained chef who trained under top pastry chefs in Paris, eventually moving on to a Michelin-starred restaurant and continuing to learn about the art of pastry.

Le Bon Garcon specializes in artisanal French caramels in delicious flavors like mango-passion, salted caramel, and macadamia nut.

We'll also be featuring local wines that Justin will be pairing with these tasty treats.

Call or e-mail us to RSVP to make sure that we have enough for everyone to enjoy. It's an event you won't want to miss!

Hangin' with the Easter Bunny

We've been so busy here at Cordially Invited that we totally overlooked a recap of our awesome Easter event a couple of weekends ago! It was so much fun! We had so many adorable kids join us for the arts and crafts and to meet the Easter Bunny, and we'd love to share some of our favorite pictures of the day with you.

Our visual display department worked into the wee hours of the night to put together a beautiful backdrop for the photos:

Last week, we asked you to "Save The Date" for a fun Easter event at Cordially Invited for you and the kids. Here are all the details:

The little ones will have a great time making Easter and spring-themed greeting cards, plus a cute pair of bunny ears that they can wear when they take their picture with the Easter Bunny!

As always, we'll have lots of great gifts and cards in the shop to browse through while the kids are busy getting creative. Plus, we'll have some light refreshments for you, too!

Ladies, don't forget to remind your guys about our V-Day Shopping Event. Tuesday 2/6 at Cordially Invited - we are helping the fellas out. There will be a florist here helping them to design arrangements, Southern Girl Desserts will take orders for the Valentine Cupcake Sweet Boxes and of course WE will be on hand to help him pick the right v-day cards and wrap all his gifts in the finest of gift wrapping paper!! Oh and to help this a little easier for the fellas -we will have FREE COGNAC from 6-9pm!! Spread the Word

We celebrated Halloween at Cordially Invited a week early with an Arts and Crafts and Cupcake Decorating Party and man was it fun.

We'd like to thank all the parents and kids from the Wilshire Vista and PicFair Neighborhoods that came out as well as our patrons who came and brought thier children...we also had some of our friends come out too(it was great meeting you Wan Family!!! )

Also a special thank you to the other half of our store Southern Girl Desserts for bringing in yummy cupcakes to decorate
